We’re there! Made it. Phew! Thank you to all the staff for your work this past year. You’re great. Hope that you all have the amazing holiday each of you deserve. Thank you to the parents who’ve helped us throughout the year. Thank you to all the children. I hope you’ve enjoyed this past year, are now older, wiser and looking forward to the summer break. Thanks to Mr Pritchard who has been an absolute star this year. It has been a great pleasure to work with such a talented, motivated and inspirational teacher. Looking forward to working with you again in your new role next year. Goodbye and good luck to Mr Cooney. (Bet he won’t miss jogging to work in this weather!) Hope that you have a smooth move East and are happy in your new school. To everyone leaving today, I wish you all the very best of luck. Hope that you all have some good memories of your time here at the Upper Juniors.
See you all in September!
Mr H.
We’ve reached the penultimate day of the academic year. Congratulations to 4PC on an entertaining reflection on their past year together. If you missed the assembly - or in fact if you want to see their Perfect Day video again - click on the video link below in the previous post. Year 4 are all off today to the Anne Frank House as part of their Children in World War II topic.
We warmly invite everyone to share in the Upper Junior end of year assembly tomorrow morning at 09:00. Hope to see you all there.
Hi Everyone,
We would like to say thank you to 4PC for their hard work at the assembly today. We would also like to say thank you to the parents, staff and children that joined us and enjoyed our last class assembly of the year.
Due to popular demand, we have managed to put up today’s video that was played at the assembly on the web log for other family members to enjoy. Please click on the PLAY button below to see the video. Click TWICE on the video to view it full screen…
We wish you all a happy and relaxing summer holiday.
Best wishes
Pat Cairns and Chris Pritchard

Countdown is progressing…. (which clever person can tell me which 80’s song those lyrics belong to?) We have reached our final Wednesday and kick off this morning with our last class assembly of the year. It is the turn of 4PC to entertain us and we’re all looking forward to Mr Pritchard and Mrs Cairns last joint assembly. Break a leg (not literally, Mrs Cairns!!!) After assembly Year 4 and 5 are dividing into their new classes for next year. Lessons as normal after break and then this afternoon the Fun Activities organised by the student council begin. Enjoy the day everyone and let’s hope for a sunny afternoon!
PS Bet no one gets my song lyric challenge!!
A rather wet welcome to the last Tuesday of the term. We start this morning with a special Step Up assembly for Year 6 who will be moving up to the Secondary School next academic year. We have our last Student Council meeting at lunchtime for final preparations for tomorrow’s fun activity afternoon. We end the day with Year 6 Parent/Teacher meetings as they finish their Primary School education. Good luck, Year 6, it’s been great working with you all.
Yes, we have reached the last week of the academic year and are counting down to the start of the summer holidays. Still a lot to cram in before the end of term though. This morning we have our last achievement assembly of the year. Also at some time today I hope a few hair raising challenges following from Friday’s very successful Superheroes Day. This evening we have our summer music soiree which is always a relaxing, enjoyable end of year event. Tomorrow we have Year 6 Parents Evening between 17:00-20:00. On Wednesday we have 4PC’s Class assembly and a Fun Activity Afternoon organised by the Student Council. Year 4 are off to the Anne Frank House on Thursday and our End of Year Assembly is on Friday at 09:00. Enjoy the final countdown to the summer holiday!
Yes, it’s SUPERHERO day here at the Upper School! Superhero charity day has been organised by the Business Studies students… we’re all looking forward to raising lots of money for breast cancer and a school in Ghana. Several students and teachers have agreed to do drastic things with their hair if enough money is raised!!
Congratulations to Year 6 on a fantastic performance last night of Cinderella Rockerfella. Final show tonight and one not to miss. See you there at 19:00!
This morning we have Mr Armoogum’s class assembly - I’ve heard them rehearsing and am sure it will be a lot of fun! Tonight and tomorrow night we have Year 6’s production of Cinderella Rockerfella. Show starts at 19:00, don’t miss a great evening entertainment! See you there!
