Morning all,
Sorry for the absence of an update so far this week but I was busy in London interviewing for new staff. Back very late last night and so somewhat tired this morning! Arktos enjoyed his time in England, met my other goddaughter, Francesca, and her brother Sam. He saw the house where I grew up and had his picture taken on a street called Toms Lane!
Remember tomorrow and Friday the school is closed for Hemelvaart (Ascension) holiday and then next week we have our half term holiday, so all back to school on Monday 1st June (Yes, i know it’s ANOTHER holiday but we really have lots to do at school still before the end of the year!)
Reply slips for the film screening of UP should be handed in this morning. I will also today try to Email parents a provisional kit list for the Year 4/5 and the Year 6/7 summer term trips. Final details and notification of information meetings will follow after our half term holiday.
This morning we are all looking forward to Mrs Miles’ class assembly and also Mrs Osborne and baby Harry are coming in to say hello. I shall see my Literacy groups at some point today as I need to collect in completed poems for the competition we are entering. Mr Pritchard will also be seeing his Year 4 Maths group at the end of the day.
Well everyone, I wish you all a happy holiday and look forward to hearing all your news next month.
We celebrated our weekly Achievement assembly yesterday, so due to Secondary School exams there’s no assembly today…. I’m very excited to hear that I have Arktos for the weekend again. I’m off to visit my other goddaughter in England this weekend, hope he enjoys that.

Well another week has whizzed by and we only have another week and a bit until half term! Where, oh where has the year gone? Still a busy day ahead and sadly no achievement assembly this morning due to Secondary School exams. Swimming as normal and a well deserved Golden Time this afternoon to round off the week.
Have a great weekend!

Morning bloggers,
Say CHEESE!! This morning the school photographer in in school. He will take either one photo of the whole Upper Junior School or three separate year group photos (eg one x Year 4, one x Year 5 and one x Year 6). He will not be taking any individual or class photos which were done at the beginning of the academic year.
This afternoon there is a staff meeting which means that staff will not be available to lead the after school club programme. This does not affect other clubs run by visiting leaders: if you have any queries, please contact the school receptionists.
Tomorrow morning at 08:40 we have the Upper Junior School termly Head’s meeting. Hope to see you all there. Surely worth stopping in for a cup of coffee or tea!
Hope that you all enjoyed the day yesterday and are wise awake ready for the day ahead! We have a fairly normal Friday, apart from the fact there is no swimming today. Achievement assembly as normal later this morning, I wonder if I can make it a second week with Arktos?
