In history this term we have been learning about what life was like for children during World War II. I think it has been an interesting, but also very sad, topic. today we visited the Anne Frank house, below is a link to the Anne Frank House website

If you haven’t done so already you might want to leave a leaf on her tree. If Anne Frank were still alive today what would you say to her?
Another good website you might want to visit is the BBC’s ‘Children of World War II’ website. Here is the link:

Hi Jake. So good to hear from you. Sorry it took us a while to write we had our class assembly last week and we were really busy practising. The class is not the same without you but I am pleased to hear that you like your new school. We have just completed our science topic on forces and are about to begin designing and making bags, it should be a fun project. Please write and tell us all your news.
Miss Kane
Hi all you students in class 4K. Isaac Newton here! I really enjoyed your assembly today - it was such fun. You all worked so hard learning your lines and perfecting your acting. What can I say about your gravity poem - marvellous! No wonder Miss Kane is so proud of you all! I think you are all super scientists and you have learnt loads about gravity, friction, upthrust and air resistance, not to mention the investigation skills you have developed. I am impressed with your super scientifc enquiring minds. Keep up the good work!
Kind regards
Isaac
A big thank you to Aissa for all those fantastic scripts she has written for the assembly. Aissa, I have just been reading the Doctor and Mr/ Mrs Gravity scene and its so good that we have to find room for it somewhere in our assembly. I am just making some slight adjustments and I should have all the new parts ready to give out tomorrow. If you want some extra speaking parts please make sure you know all the words you have been given so far really well.
Keep up the good work learning the words and actions for the gravity rap. Thank you to Lewis for the excellent last verse he wrote.
Hope you are all enjoying practising for ‘World Maths Day’. Did you know that so far ( Saturday 23rd February 2.48pm) our school has answered 35,563 questions correctly! Wow! how many of those have you answered?
As part of our science topic ‘keeping warm’ we spent some time today using thermometers to measure the temperature of things e.g…..the  classroom, cold water, armpits !
We also measured the outside air temperature and found it to be an ever so nippy 5 degrees Celsius. But where is the coldest city in the world today ? Use your knowledge of capital cities and the following link to try and find out. Good luck

If you halve an even number the answer will be odd. Agree or disagree? Noddy rabbit disagrees

What do you think? How many numbers did you test it with? Did you try numbers greater than 100? Can you think of a statement of your own for others to investigate?
