Poetry Please!
September 25th, 2007
We have been busy writing caligrams, shape poems and descriptive food poems in our Literacy work recently.
Caligrams are words that are written to give an extra idea to the meaning of the word.
These are firework poems that were presented in Publisher. It was quite tricky to rotate the text and make our poems look exactly as we wanted.

I really like your poetry 3C , it’s very clever the way you have rotated the words and used the shapes. They are very eye catching.
please correct my spelling of shapes, thanks.
hey Mr chapman,Please can you show me how to upload pieces of work onto the blog, Thanks
These pieces of work were done in Publisher. One of the “Save As” options in Publisher (but not in Word) is to save a piece of work as a JPEG. These JPEGs are then uploaded into the Weblog - Simple when you know how! (By the way it was Mr Handisyde who showed me how to save work as a JPEG!)
